Hey friends!!
It is our 2nd monthly Books Bloggers Love post!! Yay! Aren't you just loving all of these great ideas from these fabulous bloggers?!
This month I am talking to you about the lovely book, Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun by Maria Dismondy. I am sure you all know the book well. It is just so precious! It is about having the courage to be who you are, and not worrying that you are different on the outside or like different things! We are all people and we all have feelings! I just love the message.
I will be using this at the beginning of September. We will be reading it as a class. Then, I will give students this sheet to fill out with 3 reasons they are glad they are THEMSELVES! 🙂 They will put their name at the top of the tree map…and three reasons they like being them with details below it. I will probably then have them share with a partner, or even whole group, so we can all learn how different we all are-and that is ok!
